Somaye Rahimi from Iran won the gold medal at the Hyundai World Archery Para Series 2026 tournament held in Ahmedabad.
The Iranian para-archer defeated Chinese athlete Cuirong Lian with a score of 6:2, winning gold in the Women's Para Recurve category. In the same series, Indian para-archer Bhavna received a bronze medal.
The 2026 World Archery Para Series competitions took place in Ahmedabad, India, from September 5 to 9. 108 para-archers from 19 different countries participated in the event, including a strong delegation from India.
