Apple announced the fifth version of its earbuds, the AirPods, on Wednesday, the 9th. The company stated that these models underwent a complete redesign to provide an even more immersive sound experience compared to previous generations.
According to Apple itself, the AirPods 5 feature richer audio and a higher level of detail. Furthermore, the noise cancellation system has been improved, capable of reducing up to 50% more noise than the previous model.
In terms of battery life, the earbuds offer up to 20 hours of playback, considering both the internal battery of the earbuds themselves and that of the charging case.
In the international market, the AirPods 5 are available at a lower price than the previous generation: the entry-level model starts at US$ 129, while the AirPods 4 cost US$ 149. This is also the first time that both versions of the earbuds include noise cancellation, a feature previously exclusive to the model with the wireless charging case.
In Brazil, the basic model will be sold for R$ 1,499, featuring greater resistance to dust, sweat, and water, as well as increased durability. The AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case will have an expanded battery, wireless charging, and integrated volume control on the stems, selling for R$ 1,699. The sale of both models in the country is scheduled to begin on September 18.
