Researchers from China have discovered a new archaeological site dating back to the Paleolithic era, which scientists believe is associated with Denisovans. The excavations were conducted in the Bianfu cave, located in southern China.
During the work, various artifacts were found, including stone and bone objects, animal traces, as well as teeth and bone fragments of these ancient humans. Specialists suggest that the human remains belong to at least four individuals who existed between 167,000 and 134,000 years ago.
The discovery was reported in two scientific publications (one and two) published in the journal Nature.
