Jordan Hermann made an impressive ODI debut for the Proteas team, scoring 150 runs, which allowed the team to reach a total of 348/6 in a historic match against Namibia held in Windhoek.

This match was the first encounter between two neighbors from South Africa in the 50-over format. Hermann became one of three players to debut in ODIs, alongside opening partner Connor Esterhuizen and all-rounder Duan Jansen. Furthermore, Hermann joined teammate Matthew Breetzke as one of two batsmen to reach the 150-run mark in their first ODI.
The young talent from Warriors demonstrated excellent play, facing 126 deliveries while hitting 17 fours and three sixes. After an early loss of Esterhuizen (10), Hermann formed a wonderful partnership with Tony de Zorzi.
The left-handed duo dominated the Namibian bowlers, accumulating a partnership of 190 runs in the second wicket. De Zorzi played solidly, scoring 72 runs off 84 balls—this is his third half-century in ODIs, and the Proteas team looked poised for a total close to 400.
During this period, Hermann elegantly reached his century by flicking to deep midwicket, which delighted his partner, De Zorzi. However, after De Zorzi and Hermann left the field, the Proteas team faced a slight dip in the middle order, with only Dewald Brevis managing to contribute 33 runs off 28 balls.
Nevertheless, towards the end of the match, the team received an extra boost thanks to the recently arrived Corbin Bosch, who remained not out, scoring 39 runs off just 24 balls, helping Proteas surpass the 300-run mark.
According to the match results, Proteas won the toss and elected to bat. Proteas' final score was 348/6 (J Hermann 150, De Zorzi 72, Bosch 39*, Brevis 33; Trumpelmann 4/68). Namibia needed 349 runs to win.
