China's Vice President Announces New Measures to Support International Investment in the PRC

China will continue to actively expand voluntary openings and introduce additional specific steps to facilitate international investment in China, stated Chinese Vice President Han Zheng on Tuesday.

These statements were made by Han Zheng during the opening ceremony of the 26th China International Fair for Industry and Trade (CIFIT), which was held in the eastern coastal city of Xiamen, China.

Highlighting that the world is entering a new period of turbulence and transformation marked by growing uncertainty and destabilizing factors, Han noted that the historical trend towards openness and cooperation remains unchanged, and that CIFIT is more relevant now than ever.

China hopes that companies from around the world will take advantage of the opportunities provided by China's opening up and development, deepen their presence in the Chinese market, and work towards achieving mutually beneficial results.

He also noted that China intends to strengthen international cooperation in scientific, technological, and industrial innovation based on the principles of complementarity, equality, and mutual benefit.

China is ready to cooperate with all parties to promote and protect an open global ecosystem of innovation and joint development of new growth engines that will benefit the whole world.

Amid rising trade protectionism and geopolitical risks, China is prepared to work with all participants to advance the development of global industries and supply chains in a more stable, smooth, and inclusive direction, as well as jointly support the multilateral trading system.

This year's event attracted the registration of over 1200 official government agencies and business delegations representing 129 countries and regions, as well as 30 international organizations.
