Amid growing interest in learning Chinese in Russia, driven by deepening cultural and international exchanges between the two countries, a new series of textbooks debuted at the 39th Moscow International Book Fair.
The series, titled 'Learn Chinese with Ease,' was jointly developed by CGTN and the Beijing Language and Culture University Press (BLCUP) and was presented at the fair, which took place from September 2 to 6. The textbooks are designed according to the standards of the Chinese Test for Language Proficiency (HSK 3.0) and also take into account the cognitive characteristics, practical needs, and profiles of foreign language learners.
The series integrates video materials shot in real locations, short grammar lessons, and an online platform for interactive learning. This allows vocabulary and grammar to be integrated into everyday situations, helping learners of different levels to master the Chinese language better.
Russian high school student Olga shared her impressions after reviewing the book, noting that the textbook scenarios are engaging, based on stories, and closely related to life. Visitors were also greatly attracted by the Russian-language interactive learning application, where many noted the convenience of being able to practice spoken Chinese at any time.
The growing popularity of learning Chinese in Russia is stimulating demand for educational materials that are easy to use, practical, and appealing. Thanks to its accessible and app-oriented approach, 'Learn Chinese with Ease' has become a sought-after choice among those studying Chinese abroad.
At this book fair, BLCUP presented over 130 titles, including flagship textbooks such as 'Learn Chinese with Ease,' 'HSK Standard Course,' and 'Chinese Unlocked: A Comprehensive Course Textbook,' as well as a selection of books on Chinese culture.
The fair opened on September 2, and China participated as the guest of honor under the theme 'Reading China.' The Chinese exhibition provided Russian readers with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture through books.
