The third episode of Bigg Boss 20 marked the end of the captaincy task and the start of the first nomination process of the season. During the events, there was a tense argument between Amrapali Dubey and Arishfa Khan regarding age. Additionally, contestants had their life forces selected in the special room.
Episode 3 began with the ongoing captaincy task, where Kaji Tauqir was eliminated early due to the use of Kanika Mann's special power. The first contestants to exit the race were Esha Rihi, Aman Gandhi, and Amrapali Dubey. As the task progressed, Uditi Singh, Mary Kom, and Rohed Khan were eliminated, followed by Kanika Mann, Arishfa Khan, and Scout. Following these eliminations, Gullu, Asif Khan, and Yung DSA continued to participate in the competition.
Despite the task itself being rather boring and childish, which irritated viewers, the subsequent conflicts added dynamism to the show.
When the contestants gathered in the living room, Amrapali mentioned the film 'Raj', noting that many housemates were not yet born when the movie was released. Arishfa reacted negatively to this comment and accused Amrapali of mocking her age, calling her a 'child' (age-shaming). Although Amrapali stated she did not intend to mock, the argument escalated. In response, Amrapali called Arishfa a 'sort of loser' (unable to accept defeat), while Mahi Vidh advised Arishfa not to escalate the situation. This moment of tension between Mahi Vidh, Arishfa, and Amrapali became spectacular.
After this, Bigg Boss called Gullu, Asif, and Yung into a special activity room, which contained two doors labeled '2' and 'X'. The door labeled '2' granted an extra life force, while the door labeled 'X' signaled the loss of a life force. Since the housemates already had two life forces each, the 'X' door was used. When choosing a target for attack, Asif deprived Arishfa of a life force due to the 'child' argument; Gullu targeted Uditi, and Yung chose Kanika.
Later in the bathroom, a lighthearted conversation about 'Bhabiji' took place. When Amrapali was changing in the bathroom area with other women, Kaji was also present. Amrapali asked him to step aside so she could put on her sari, to which Mahi joked that Kaji wanted to watch 'Bhabiji' change. Later, Amrapali explained this humor, saying that in Bollywood culture, the status of 'Bhabi' is similar to a maternal one and deserves respect. She also mentioned that her main sources of income are Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
At the end of the voting, Kanika Mann, Uditi Singh, Arishfa Khan, and Lav Gill were nominated for this week. Now it remains to find out who among them will leave the house.
In the final moments of the episode, Yung, Esha, and Riti were in the kitchen area. When Yung called himself 'Badshah', Esha did not react much. However, when Yung asked Esha about a musician, instead of naming a name, she simply said 'X' and added, 'I don't know. No comments.' Yung expressed surprise, stating he didn't know about their relationship before.
Overall, it is evident from the third episode of Bigg Boss 20 that after the nomination process, the atmosphere throughout the house will not only change but new groups may also emerge. Simultaneously, it has been confirmed that the show has begun to show its true character.
