Uzbekistan and Armenia Discuss New Areas of Cooperation

Another round of political consultations took place on September 7, 2026, in Yerevan between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Armenia. The delegations were headed by Deputy Foreign Ministers Bobur Usmanov and Mnatskakan Safaryan.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing bilateral interaction in political, trade, economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian spheres. Furthermore, they reviewed the successes in implementing tasks set during contacts at the highest and high levels.

Participants confirmed mutual interest in expanding the legal framework of bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation in international forums. Special attention was paid to practical methods for realizing the potential of joint work in areas such as industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, agriculture, digital technologies, tourism, and education.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to maintain close coordination between the two ministries of foreign affairs. The parties intend to enhance practical interaction on a wide range of issues included in the bilateral agenda.
