JioBlackRock AMC launches new fund and aims to reach AUM of ₹25,000 crore by FY2027

JioBlackRock AMC announced the launch of the JioBlackRock Balanced Advantage Fund on Tuesday. The company reported that its Assets Under Management (AUM) have surpassed the ₹22,000 crore mark, an increase from nearly ₹16,000 crore recorded in March.

Chief Investment Officer Rishi Kohli expressed confidence that the company will achieve the target AUM of ₹25,000 crore in the 2026-27 financial year. The company's first year of operation began in 2025-26.

Kohli told reporters that since the momentum remains healthy, the company has already reached ₹22,000 crore, and the second half of the current year promises to be more eventful due to planned product launches.

The JioBlackRock Balanced Advantage Fund is an open-ended scheme with dynamic asset allocation. The New Fund Offer (NFO) opened on September 11 and will close on September 25.

The objective of this fund is to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing in a dynamically managed portfolio of equity and debt instruments. Kohli added that they aim to generate an alpha of 3-4 percentage points above the benchmark, which will be supported by BlackRock's proprietary investment models and active fund management.

The company specified that the scheme will combine a flexible asset allocation structure, systematic equity portfolio construction, and a disciplined fixed-income strategy. Derivatives may also be used for market risk management and maintaining an equity-oriented tax profile.

According to Kohli, the fund will utilize 'diversified research data, systematic portfolio construction, and risk management capabilities' to create a portfolio capable of adapting to changing market conditions.

With the new balanced advantage fund, AMC's product portfolio will expand from 17 to over 20 funds by 2026-27. He also noted that two funds—an impulse index fund and a low volatility index fund—have already received regulatory approval. Furthermore, AMC has received permission to launch the ETF Silver, but has postponed its launch due to current price volatility.

Kohli also mentioned the company's plans to launch an international product through a company based in GIFT City, specifically a global US dollar equity offering. The benchmark for this scheme is the Nifty 50 Hybrid Composite Debt 50:50 index.
