Shocking information has emerged from the Mulugu district in Telangana. Adivasi students from the village of Venkatpuram have leveled accusations regarding a severe shortage of drinking water and basic amenities in their dormitory.
Some students claim they were forced to drink water that had been used for washing clothes. These students from the dormitory located near the ITDA college in Venkatpuram reported a critical lack of drinking water at the school.
While recounting their difficult situation at the school, some students became emotional. They stated that when they approached the administration with concerns about the water shortage, the principal resorted to physical violence against them.
The students also pointed out the extremely poor condition of the school toilets, noting that dirty water constantly flows across the premises. According to them, many necessary basic conditions for living and studying in the dormitory are either absent or insufficient.
According to the students' testimonies, they have to carry water for living and studying. They repeatedly informed school officials about these problems, but their appeals were not properly addressed.
Furthermore, the students stated that they are intimidated when filing complaints. They noted that the principal is often absent, and some staff members treat them inappropriately.
These allegations have caused serious concern among the students' parents. Parents are questioning how Adivasi girls can be in such conditions in the Mulugu district, which is represented by Minister Sitakka. The parents have demanded that the district administration and relevant Adivasi affairs bodies immediately investigate this matter.
