The Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development (FSID) at IISc has implemented a new governance and leadership model. Under this new structure, FSID appointed Omprakash Subbarao as its CEO, entrusting leadership to an industry professional for the first time.
While other employees, such as Chetan Kumar, serve as senior editor for the Times of India specializing in space and science topics, covering defense issues, politics, and history, FSID focused on attracting external expertise for its management.
