Suzlon announced on Tuesday that it has received an order for 200 MW of wind energy from Ayana Renewable Power Ltd. This order is the third project implemented under the devco-led model in two Indian states—Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.
According to the company's statement, under this project, Suzlon will install 64 of its flagship S144 wind turbines, each having a nominal capacity of 3.15 MW. With this order, the company's flagship 3.x MW S144 platform has exceeded the 10 GW mark.
Girish Tanti, Vice President and Co-founder of Suzlon Group, noted that Madhya Pradesh has a potential of 55 GW+ at a height of 150 meters, making it a key state for the development of wind energy in India. He added that receiving two consecutive orders from this state reflects the growing momentum and opportunities available.
The project will be implemented in Limbawas, Madhya Pradesh, and the generated electricity will be connected to the state grid of MPPCL. Ajay Kapoor, CEO of Suzlon Group, emphasized that the company's comprehensive capabilities allow it to effectively develop and execute wind projects, creating new business prospects. He mentioned that the integrated approach is already yielding results, as the company has secured four wind orders in two states in a short period.
Suzlon will ensure the project's execution through its comprehensive EPC offering, which includes turbine supply, land acquisition, equipment balancing, substation, ultra-high voltage line, commissioning, as well as operation and maintenance services.
Lakshmi Narayanan B, Head of Business Development at Ayana Renewable Power, expressed satisfaction, noting that this project marks an important milestone for Ayana in solidifying its presence in Madhya Pradesh. He expressed hope for continued collaboration to ensure long-term value and support India's transition to clean energy.
