After classes ended at the school in Meerut, 13-year-old seventh-grade student Kunaal Sharma went missing. When the e-rickshaw driver began searching the school building about fifteen minutes later, he discovered the boy's body in the toilet. Medics, to whom the child was rushed by teachers and relatives, pronounced him dead.
Initial information points to possible cardiac impairment, but the exact cause of the student's death has not yet been determined. The incident occurred at Basant Valley Public School, located in the Mawan area of Meerut.
On Monday, as on a normal day, classes were held at the school. Kunaal Sharma, who was in the seventh grade, arrived at school in the morning. He is the son of Dharmendra Sharma, who resides in the Kabili Gate village, Kalwada Road area in Mawan. According to his family, he went to school that Monday, as usual. After lessons, he was supposed to return home by e-rickshaw.
The e-rickshaw driver waited for Kunaal along with other children after classes finished. Although other students left, Kunaal did not appear for a long time. Initially, the driver assumed the boy might be delayed at school for some reason. However, after waiting about fifteen minutes, he decided to enter the school and start looking for Kunaal.
During the inspection of the school premises, the driver noticed Kunaal in the toilet, lying unconscious. This discovery caused panic among the school staff. Teachers were notified, and then the school administration, along with the family, immediately took the child to doctors. After examination, medics declared Kunaal deceased.
Upon hearing the news of the sudden death of the 13-year-old child, the family was overcome with grief. Local residents also came to support the family. Since the death occurred so unexpectedly, the family and those around them are in shock. Although the child attended school, his body was found in the toilet. This has led to various discussions regarding the cause of his death. At present, the family has not filed an official complaint and has declined to participate in police proceedings.
