A Pakistani man was repatriated on Monday who had been detained last week in the Kanachak sector, near the international border in Jammu.
Soldiers of the 44th Battalion of the BSF discovered this violator on September 3 near the border post on the frontline. During interrogation, he identified himself as Nazir Sadir from the village of Luni Pundra in Sialkot and allegedly told investigators that he had accidentally crossed the Indian border.
The investigative authorities examined his statements, after which BSF personnel contacted their Pakistani counterparts and initiated the repatriation process. Officials reported that on Monday, Sadir was handed over to Pakistani Rangers at the Golpattan border post along the international border following a flag meeting.
