One of the main obstacles in the fight against e-bike theft is the limited lifespan of existing trackers. High-precision GPS devices often run out of battery within weeks, making it impossible to locate the vehicle if it is stored or moved days after the crime occurred.
To solve this problem, Comodule has introduced Astra—a connection module designed to be installed directly into the e-bike frame. The key advantage of this equipment is its ability to maintain active tracking for 12 months, even if the bicycle is not in use or the main electrical system is switched off.

In addition to energy management focused on long-term operation, the device has been upgraded to overcome satellite signal loss, which often occurs when a bicycle is placed in underground garages, warehouses, or buildings. The module is smaller than previous generations and connects directly to the bike's electronics. This allows manufacturers to activate app-controlled safety features, such as real-time crash alerts, intelligent locking, issuance of a digital vehicle passport, and electronic engine immobilization.
Comodule acts as a technology provider for various industry brands and has already begun demonstrations of Astra for manufacturers. The first e-bikes equipped with this system are expected to appear on the market in 2028.
