As part of the 15th International Film Festival lasting 100 seconds, 170 films have been selected to participate in the main competition. These works will be screened in the main halls of the Bureau of Islamic Ideology Propagation in Tehran from September 15 to 18.
Among the selected works, 36 are presented in the national section, 29 in the international section, and 105 films are included in the special category 'For the Homeland.'
The international competition features films such as 'Nao Esquece' by Lucas Eduardo, 'The Second that Stopped' by Mohammad Mehdi Kasemi, and 'Point of View' by Belal Ashura, which will compete for festival awards alongside other submitted works.
The national competition includes works by authors such as Ebrahim Moradi, Said Sadeghi, Yasin Pourazizi, Ali Rostambadi, and Haniyeh Sadeghi. Meanwhile, the special 'For the Homeland' section presents works by Zeinab Zamanian, Mohaddeseh Vahidi, Ali Masoudi, and Bahman Rezaei.
Under the direction of Mohaddeseh Pirhadi, the 15th edition of the International Film Festival lasting 100 seconds will focus its thematic attention on three main areas: 'Battle for the Future,' 'Battle for the Children of the World,' and 'Battle for the Homeland.'
The festival is known for its strict time constraints, which challenge creators to present a complete and powerful narrative in a very limited time. Since its inception, the festival has served as a prestigious platform for discovering new talents and experimenting with short film art, expanding the boundaries of how much emotion and information can be conveyed in a few fleeting seconds. The upcoming edition promises to be a diverse collection of international perspectives reflecting humanity's common struggles and hopes through the lens of the camera.
