The Tehran Symphony Orchestra will perform at a concert titled 'Figaro,' featuring compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The concert will take place in Tehran and will be conducted by Nasir Heidarian.
The performance is scheduled for September 15 and 16 at the Vahdat Hall. According to an IRNA report, the program is dedicated to performing three works by Mozart.
The 'Figaro' concert is part of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra's current schedule for this year. The program includes well-known Mozart pieces such as 'Overture to the Opera 'The Marriage of Figaro',' 'Piano Concerto No. 12 in Major,' and 'Symphony No. 39 in B-flat Major.'
During the performance of the 'Piano Concerto No. 12,' teenage artist and pianist Anisa Yazdaniian will act as soloist, playing alongside the Tehran Symphony Orchestra.
This program offers an opportunity to familiarize oneself with three classical music works and immerse oneself in the musical world of Mozart, performed by one of the country's most experienced orchestras. These works, despite differences in structure and expression, demonstrate the diversity and scale of Mozart's compositions.
The Tehran Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1933, is the oldest and largest symphony orchestra in Iran. It was initially established as the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Gholamhosseyn Minbashyan and later adopted its modern form under the leadership of Parviz Mahmoud in 1946.
In subsequent years, conductors of the orchestra included figures such as Rubik (Ruben) Gregorian, Mortezah Hannaneh, Haymo Tauber, Heshamt Sanjari, Farhad Meshkat, and Fereydoun Nasseri.
