The socialist secretary-general made a visit to a gas station in the Spanish city of Tui, where he reiterated that the government has already obtained revenues exceeding one million euros from the price adjustment of gasoline and diesel.
He revealed that there are international transport companies that instruct their employees to refuel in Spain. Carneiro emphasized that the country is suffering losses in competitiveness among exporting and transport logistics companies because national fuels are more expensive, in addition to economic losses due to local purchases.
Additionally, José Luís Carneiro accused Hugo Soares, parliamentary leader of the PSD, of not telling the truth about the tax issue, reinforcing that the Government has already profited over one billion euros from the increase in fuel prices, ensuring that the State is obtaining financial gains.
