Kaizer Chiefs officially announced the end of their collaboration with midfielder Tabo Sele, as both parties reached a mutual agreement to terminate his employment contract.
The Soweto giants announced on Monday that Sele's departure followed discussions between the player and the club. This marks the end of his time at Naturena as Chiefs continue to rebuild their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The club stated: 'Kaizer Chiefs terminated Tabo Sele's contract by mutual consent after constructive discussions between both parties. This decision will allow Sele to seek new opportunities while Amakhosi continues to rebuild its squad for the 2026/27 season.'
Sele joined Chiefs with high expectations and was considered an important acquisition for the midfield, but his time at the club ended sooner than expected.
The 29-year-old midfielder is now a free agent and can look for a new club after Chiefs decided to end their contractual relationship.
The club thanked Sele for his contribution and wished him success in the next chapter of his career. Chiefs added: 'We thank 'Induna Yendawo' for his dedication during his time at Kaizer Chiefs and wish him all the best in his future career.'
