When IAS officer Anand Sharma entered an improvised classroom, he discovered children studying directly on the floor of a hut. There were no desks or suitable premises, only the determination of the students.
Instead of waiting months for construction to be completed, he intervened immediately, resolving a dispute that was preventing nearby children from using another school. As a result, the reconstruction of 63 government schools has been proposed today, which could potentially change the lives of more than 10,000 children.
