Uzbek Entrepreneurs Plan to Launch Agricultural Projects in Serbia

The Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov, held a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Serbia, Dragan Glamočić. During the negotiations, prospects for joint activities of Uzbek entrepreneurs on Serbian soil were discussed in areas such as livestock farming, horticulture, and seed production.

Significant attention was paid to issues of breeding pedigree livestock, building modern livestock complexes, as well as producing meat and dairy products. Furthermore, the parties considered the development of fodder base and the integration of advanced veterinary methods.

The discussion also covered topics such as the creation of intensive orchards, as well as the cultivation and propagation of high-yield seeds. The participants also talked about opportunities for processing, storage, and packaging goods, forming value chains, and subsequent marketing of products in both domestic and foreign markets.

As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed on the need to ensure favorable conditions for the activities of Uzbek investors in Serbia, as well as on the importance of deepening investment cooperation and the exchange of agricultural technologies. Agreements were reached on supporting the initiatives of Uzbek entrepreneurs in Serbia and increasing the level of agricultural partnership between the two countries.

It is worth noting that the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, made an official visit to Serbia on this day at the invitation of the head of the republic, Aleksandar Vučić.
