The launch of the new Chinese electric train model CR200J, manufactured by CRRC Dalian, which will run between Khiva and Bukhara, is scheduled for September 9th. This initiative was announced by 'Uzbekistan Railways'.
This train had previously operated on the route between Urgench airport and Khiva since early September. Now, the route is being extended to the 'Bukhara-1' station located in Kagan. It is planned that the trips will operate six days a week.
Furthermore, starting September 14th, the train will make weekly trips to Tashkent.
Train Schedule
According to the schedule, Train No. 707 runs from Khiva to Bukhara-1 daily, except on Tuesdays, departing at 9:55 and arriving at 14:32. Train No. 706 operates from Bukhara-1 to Khiva daily, except on Mondays, departing at 15:45 and arriving at 20:25.
Trips No. 701 from Bukhara-1 to Tashkent on Mondays (departing at 15:17, arriving at 21:22) and No. 702 from Tashkent to Bukhara-1 on Tuesdays (departing at 10:05, arriving at 15:17) are also provided.
The introduction of this new train entails adjustments to the schedules of several other trains. Changes concern, for example, Train No. 56 Tashkent-South — Khiva (implemented on September 8th), Train No. 58 Tashkent-South — Shavat (since September 10th), and Train No. 127/128 Andijan — Kungrad (since September 8th).
Additional changes include Train No. 301 Dushanbe — Tashkent (since September 15th), Train No. 6412 Tashkent-South — Khavast (since September 15th on Tuesdays), and Train No. 6353 Urgench — Nukus (since September 9th).
It should be noted that the CR200J train is equipped with six cars featuring a climate control system and can carry 415 passengers in economy class, reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h. Currently, two such electric trains are operating in Uzbekistan, and the introduction of a second set on the Tashkent-Andijan route is expected in the near future.
