Employee experiences stress after two weeks of remote work despite the popularity of WFH

Despite the remote work model (WFH) remaining popular after the COVID-19 pandemic, many employees feel that working from home is easier than office hustle. However, reality often differs from perceptions. Mohini Chavan shared her experience on Instagram, stating that two weeks of working from home completely drained her mental state.

In her video, she explained that her company uses a hybrid work model, which involves visiting the office on some days and having the option to work from home on others. Furthermore, employees are provided with the opportunity to work fully remotely for at least two weeks a year. Mohini took advantage of this opportunity, but her experience was far from positive.

In her post, she expressed respect for those who work from home but encounter negative experiences. She reported that after two weeks of working at home, she feels completely mentally exhausted. The main problem for Mohini was that she was tired of the monotonous daily routine.

She also noted that during these two weeks, it felt as if she never left the house. Her daily schedule consisted of waking up in the morning, working, eating, and returning to the same routine. Even the weekends did not bring significant changes to this routine; she only went out once during the entire weekend.

Therefore, Mohini prefers the hybrid model. She emphasized that going into the office changes not only the work environment but also provides an opportunity to socialize and gain new knowledge. The hybrid system, which involves two days in the office, allows meeting colleagues, sharing meals, and exchanging impressions, which enriches the overall experience.
