Pakistani fans made offensive comments about Indian athlete after match

A video recording of the match between India and Pakistan in the Women's Asian Cup 2026 went viral on social media. In this video, some Pakistani fans make offensive remarks regarding the gender of Indian cricketer Kranti Gaur. Following the appearance of this video, the behavior of Pakistani fans is facing sharp criticism.

Pakistani spectators, pointing to the fast bowler Kranti Gaur, make comments such as: 'It's a boy. India always wins by cheating.' Furthermore, allegedly unacceptable comments were made about her appearance and gender. Independent identification of the people present in the video has not been confirmed.

Although fan enthusiasm during India-Pakistan matches is common, such comments concerning gender identity or players' personal appearance are completely unjustified. The issue of female athletes being criticized for their body, appearance, and gender instead of their sporting achievements is not new. The video related to Kranti Gaur has once again highlighted this problem.

India achieved a convincing victory over Pakistan

In the match held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday (September 5), India secured a major victory over Pakistan, restricting them to only 55 runs while taking seven wickets. Pakistan managed to score 27 runs without losing any wickets, but then Indian spinners completely changed the course of the game. Shri Charni and Prema Rawat took three wickets each, and Dipti Sharma took two. The Pakistani team lost its 10 wickets in just 28 runs. India reached the target of 56 runs, losing three wickets in 8.4 overs. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur remained on the field without being dismissed, scoring 18 runs, and led the team to victory by hitting a six. Thanks to this victory, India's record against Pakistan in the Women's Asian Cup became 7-1.
