According to the Central Bank data, the total assets of pawnshops in Uzbekistan as of August 1, 2026, amounted to 937.7 billion soms. This figure demonstrates a 50% increase compared to the previous year, when it was 625.7 billion soms.
Net creditor debt, which is the largest part of the sector's assets, increased by 35%, rising from 513.4 billion to 692.7 billion soms. However, the share of net loans in the total asset volume decreased from 82.0% to 73.9%.
Other assets showed significant growth: receivables from banks increased 4.1 times, reaching 79.5 billion soms (compared to 19.2 billion soms). Other assets grew by 121% to 82.3 billion soms, and cash and other payment instruments increased by 74% to 24.8 billion soms. Accrued interest on receivables grew by 39% to 36.4 billion soms, and fixed assets grew by 44% to 21.9 billion soms.
The sector's liabilities saw a 72% increase over the year, reaching 223.3 billion soms compared to 129.9 billion soms the previous year. Loans, borrowings, and rent payments accounted for 80.0% of total liabilities, with their volume increasing by 79% to 178.6 billion soms.
Accrued taxes payable also rose by 147% (to 9.3 billion soms), and accrued interest payable by 59% (to 7.7 billion soms), while other liabilities increased by 27% to 27.7 billion soms.
The total capital of the pawnshops reached 714.5 billion soms, which is 44% more than 495.8 billion soms. Charter capital grew by 44% to 225.3 billion soms, and retained earnings increased by 57% to 306.4 billion soms. Current year profit grew by 28% to 166.4 billion soms, and reserve capital increased by 23% to 16.3 billion soms.
As of the reporting date, 90 pawnshops were operating in Uzbekistan, which is fewer than the 92 in the previous year.
Largest Pawnshops by Assets
Hurma Lombard remained the leader of the sector by assets with a figure of 165.056.4 million soms, representing an increase of 163%. Following it are Hashamatli Chinor with 65.027.7 million soms (a 63% increase), Chinara Business Credit with 57.432.5 million soms (a 61% increase), Maximum with 43.841.6 million soms (a 65% increase), Stolichniy Kredit with 37.937.9 million soms (a 39% increase), Hamkor-kredit with 33.709.4 million soms (a 42% increase), and Zoloto with 31.135.2 million soms (a 3.4 times increase).
Organizations with the Sharpest Asset Growth
Besides Zoloto, whose assets grew from 9.212.5 million to 31.135.2 million soms, or by 238%, Klassik Lombard demonstrated significant growth, with its assets increasing from 1.015.7 million to 3.364.7 million soms, or 3.3 times. Credit Flex increased its assets from 6.254.2 million to 12.668.2 million soms, representing a 103% growth. Mandarin grew from 1.932.2 million to 3.564.9 million soms, or by 84%. Afina Finans increased assets from 8.163.2 million to 14.320.4 million soms, a growth of 75%. Davr Lombard increased assets from 1.049.8 million to 1.785.3 million soms (a 70% increase), while its net loans grew 14.3 times, reaching 1.166.8 million soms (compared to 81.5 million soms). Atzlaha-18 increased its assets from 675.3 million to 1.121.8 million soms, corresponding to a 66% growth.
Organizations with Asset Reduction
Asset reduction was recorded at Sarmoya-madad, which decreased by 11% to 6.437.6 million soms; Bilol Daroma fell by 28% to 2.680.2 million soms; Kibray-kredit decreased by 23% to 2.486.7 million soms; Oktepa Kapital reduced by 25% to 1.688.0 million soms; and Yangiyul Ishonch Kredit declined by 13% to 2.925.7 million soms.
Sector Capitalization
In terms of total capital, Hurma Lombard led the sector with 63.121.5 million soms, which is 140% more. Next are Hashamatli Chinor with 53.459.7 million soms (a 51% increase), Chinara Business Credit with 41.379.9 million soms (a 44% increase), Stolichniy Kredit with 32.807.4 million soms (a 42% increase), and Maximum with 28.613.9 million soms (a 71% increase). Zoloto showed the sharpest growth in charter capital, increasing from 500.0 million to 37.100.0 million soms, or 74 times. The charter capital of Klassik Lombard grew from 700.0 million to 2.000.0 million soms, which is 186% more.
By capital size, the share of pawnshops with capital exceeding 3 billion soms increased from 88.3% to 91.8% of the sector's total capital, while the number of such organizations increased from 45 to 50. The share of organizations with capital up to 1 billion soms remained negligible, around 1.0%.
Liabilities and Bank Borrowings
Hurma Lombard registered the largest liabilities at 101.934.9 million soms, which is 208% more. Chinara Business Credit has liabilities of 16.052.6 million soms (a 169% increase), Maximum has 15.227.6 million soms (a 60% increase), and Hashamatli Chinor has 11.568.0 million soms (a 217% increase).
The total volume of borrowings attracted by the sector from banks amounted to 25.150.9 million soms compared to 21.055.0 million soms the previous year, reflecting a 19% growth. Mandarin demonstrated the sharpest growth in bank borrowings, increasing the amount from 250.9 million to 876.7 million soms (3.5 times), and Golden-kredit grew from 1.044.0 million to 1.577.2 million soms (51%).
The sector's distribution by asset size shows that out of 90 operating pawnshops, 68 organizations have assets exceeding 2 billion soms. Their combined assets amount to 914.9 billion soms, which is 97.6% of the sector's total assets. Twelve organizations with assets between 1 and 2 billion soms hold 18.0 billion soms in assets, while eight organizations with assets up to 1 billion soms possess 4.8 billion soms.
