It is said that if the intention is strong, age does not matter. 21-year-old Anupriya Nagar has proven this. Despite having no prior experience in filmmaking, she had a story in her mind and a strong passion to convey it to the masses. Driven by this passion, Anupriya invested all the money she earned and saved from her three-year part-time job into her first film, 'Hanuman Ansh.'
Anupriya completed her studies in Economics at Bath University in the UK. After finishing her education, she also secured a job in Zurich, but her inclination was towards another field. Finally, in 2025, she returned to India and joined as a co-producer for 'Hanuman Ansh.'
In an interview with The Hindustan Times, Anupriya commented on this decision, stating that age never posed a barrier for her. Her sole focus was on bringing the stories of Neem Karoli Baba, or Maharaj Ji, to the current young generation, especially Gen Z.
According to Anupriya, she received information about Maharaj Ji through a foreigner, which deeply impressed her. She expressed that as a young Indian, she felt ashamed that she learned about such a great spiritual personality of her own country through a foreigner rather than through her own narrative. This thought became one of the main reasons for the creation of 'Hanuman Ansh.'
The filmmakers have also hinted at a sequel at the end of the film. Anupriya has made it clear that the second part of the film will definitely be made. She assured that she will not disappoint her audience. According to Anupriya, Maharaj Ji has brought so much success to the film at the box office that she has no other option but to make a sequel.
An interesting fact is that Anupriya wants to maintain the simplicity of the first part in her upcoming film as well. She mentioned that 'Hanuman Ansh' was planned to be made on a budget of approximately 2 crore rupees. In her opinion, if this film were made on a budget of 10 crore rupees, its form might have been completely different. Anupriya does not want to lose the spontaneity and simplicity that came from the low budget in the film.
Therefore, it is clear that the next part of 'Hanuman Ansh' may be bigger, but efforts will be made to maintain the same simplicity and originality as before. The film 'Hanuman Ansh' is performing strongly at the box office even 28 days after its release. According to the film's figures, it is on track to enter the 100 crore club; it has already earned 90 crore and its popularity suggests it will reach 100 crore by the end of Monday.
