The Iranian short film 'The Supervisor' won the Grand Prize, the Golden Falcon, at the 39th session of the International Film Festival of Lovers in Kelibia (FIFAK). The closing ceremony of the event took place last week in Tehran.
The film 'The Supervisor' was written and directed by Sabah Mohammadi. The plot tells the story of Zivar, a middle-aged manager of a women's dormitory. Her usual night shift turns into a confrontation after a student returns late, transforming an ordinary corridor into an emotionally charged space. However, alone, she feels guilty about her sharp reaction and tries to improve the situation, according to the ILNA agency.
The cast of the film includes Yasaman Nasiri, Tara Kobadi, Atefeh Azmodeh, Fardin Kaderi, and Elham Banihashem. The film was produced by the office department of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society in Kordestan in collaboration with Mohammadi. The international distributor of the film is Madakto Pictures.
Previously, in May, 'The Supervisor' received awards for 'Best Short Film' and 'Best International Short Film' at the 13th International Short Film Festival in Portugal, held in Leiria.
FIFAK is the oldest film event in Tunisia, held since 1964, and represents an important meeting point for young filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and film school students in Tunisia. The festival serves as a key platform for discovering talent and creative ingenuity among young directors, some of whom later gained fame.
