Punjabi actress Isha Rahi is preparing to enter Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 20, despite a difficult period in her personal life. A few days before the premiere, Isha and rapper Badash confirmed that they had mutually decided to separate. Their wedding took place in March of this year, and after about five months, they decided to part ways. Information about their marriage was disclosed by them in June, although they had previously kept their relationship relatively secret.
Isha is now entering a house where the personal lives of participants often become the subject of widespread discussion. This raises many questions regarding her participation in the show. In an exclusive interview with India Today/Aajtak, Isha spoke about the reasons for her agreement to participate in Bigg Boss, her psychological readiness for this challenge, the advice given to her by her parents, and how she will cope if her past is used against her in the program.
Isha's goal in participating in Bigg Boss is not to bring her personal life closer to the audience; rather, she wants people to know her for who she truly is. The actress stated: 'I want people to know me as Isha Rahi, not under someone else's name. People know of my existence, but they don't know who I am, what I am, or what I represent. I want people to know every facet of Isha through this show.'
Relationship with Badash: Isha and Badash reportedly dated for about four years before getting married. They confirmed their separation on August 31st, releasing a joint statement that they had decided to part ways by mutual consent, and urged the public to respect their privacy. They also emphasized that this would be their only statement on the matter.
Before the announcement of the breakup, there were numerous rumors, and Isha's social media posts were linked to difficulties in the marriage. Later, Isha appealed to people not to believe unconfirmed news about their separation, insisting that the media should rely only on information published by her or her official accounts. When asked why people link her entry into Bigg Boss with personal life problems, she declined to comment on this, as well as on Badash or her divorce, stating that the truth would become clear to the viewers after the show begins.
Regarding the use of her past against her in Bigg Boss, Isha admitted that she does not yet have a clear strategy. Nevertheless, she made it clear that she will not tolerate being spoken to condescendingly. She stated: 'People who treat me that way will get the same response. I don't have a game plan yet, but no one can cross my line. I will never allow it.'
She assessed her experience in the Bigg Boss house as about 80% ready. However, she emphasized that she is a strong personality and knows how to handle difficult circumstances.
Isha's parents did not express excessive concern about her decision to participate in Bigg Boss. Isha reported that her mother only wanted her to be psychologically prepared for everything but agreed that it was her personal decision, and if she went there, she should return with a trophy.
Isha added that she has long followed Bigg Boss and has favorite contestants such as Ashanur Kaur, Shahnaz Gill, Siddharth Shukla, Ali Goni, and Jasmin Bhasin. Now that she herself will be part of the house, she assured that the audience will see her without embellishment or artificial creation. She stated that she will be absolutely real and the viewers will see all her emotions, and she will try to play in this game while maintaining her dignity.
When asked why viewers should vote for her, Isha gave a direct answer. She stated that she will not ask for votes simply because she is on the show. The actress believes that only those who consider her a sincere person and a good performer should vote for her. If viewers feel she does not deserve it, they should not vote, and she will accept their decision with respect.
Before entering Bigg Boss 20, Isha also made a lighthearted remark to host Salman Khan, saying that she is a big fan of him and cannot wait to meet him.
