Amit Shah announced India's plan to become drug-free by 2029

Federal Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Sunday that the Narendra Modi government has developed a roadmap to achieve the goal of making India free from drugs by 2029. He emphasized that the fight against drugs is a national security priority.

Currently, the government is applying a reverse investigation model that works both 'bottom-up' and 'top-down'. This methodology allows tracking small seizures of narcotics back to their original source, and large shipments back to end consumers, in order to uncover the entire network.
