Over 24 Thousand Participants Took Part in Tashkent Half Marathon

The International Half Marathon took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, with over 24,000 people participating. The competition included both professional athletes and amateurs, covering distances of 5 km and 21.097 km.

Representatives of the country's leadership were present at the opening ceremony of the event. This race highlighted the continuous development of mass sports in Uzbekistan and the significance of major sporting events for popularizing an active and healthy lifestyle.

Winners and prize-winners were determined in both races. In the men's 5 km race, Eldor Botirov took first place, Ruslan Khadzhiev came second, and Behruz Shavkatov won third place.

In the women's 5 km race, Alina Khakimova won the victory. Maftuna Akhmedova took second place, and Kamola Ablayeva was in third place.

In the half marathon distance (21.097 km), Andrey Petrov finished first among men. Hasan Mirsoatov won the silver medal, and Bakhtiyor Utkirov received the bronze.

Among women, Marjona Akhmadaliyeva won the half marathon. Sadafbonu Nusratulloyeva took second place, and Arofathon Imomalieva received third place.
