Following the launch of the Tata Curvv Series X model, Tata Motors plans to introduce a new product—a sedan. This refers to an updated version of the Tata Tigor, which is one of the company's least sold models.
Previously, Tata Motors released an updated version of the Punch earlier this year, followed by the popular Tata Tiago Facelift a few months later. According to available information, Tata's next project will be the Tigor sedan, which is expected to receive an update soon.
The company may release this sedan with significant changes by the end of this year. The updated Tata Tigor will feature many new elements, especially in its exterior design. The front of the car could be completely redesigned: Tata will refresh the look, including the headlights, grille, and bumper.
The front design of the new Tigor might resemble the Tiago, offering slim and angular headlights that give the car a more aggressive and confident appearance. A glossy black plastic element will be placed between the headlights. The lower part of the bumper will have an 'A'-shaped black surface, centered with a rectangular grille, and equipped with LED fog lights at the corners.
As for the side profile, the car will be fitted with 15-inch diamond-cut wheels. New wheel arches will be installed, and the rear will feature redesigned taillights. An additional element will be a red plastic piece mimicking a light barrier, which overall gives the car a more premium look.
Changes are also expected in the electric version of the Tigor, similar to those made to the Tigor Electric. The new model will feature a modern cockpit, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch multimedia system. A new two-spoke steering wheel is also planned.
It is anticipated that neither the new Tigor nor the Tigor EV will have mechanical changes. This means the car will use a 1.2-liter Revotron gasoline engine, producing 84 hp and 113 Nm of torque. Options are available with a 5-speed manual and automatic transmission.
The car will also be available in a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (CNG) variant. In the CNG configuration, it will produce 74 hp and 96.5 Nm of torque. The electric version will deliver 74 hp and 170 Nm of torque, potentially equipped with a 26 kWh LFP battery providing a range of up to 315 kilometers on a single charge.
