The Sarang demonstration helicopter team of the Indian Air Force has arrived in Egypt. This team will participate in the second International Air Show in El Alamein, which will take place from September 8 to 10, 2026, at the El Alamein International Airport.
The Sarang team of the Indian Air Force is the only demonstration team in the world consisting of five helicopters. During their performance, the team will demonstrate the highest level of coordination, professionalism, and flying skills. This event is seen as another important achievement in the growing international participation of the Indian Air Force and reflects the strengthening of defense and diplomatic ties between India and Egypt.
The Sarang team performs flights on the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv, which was designed and manufactured in India itself. This team is known for its complex formation maneuvers, short-distance flights, and joint aerial demonstrations. Their performances showcase not only the exceptional skills and discipline of the pilots but also the potential of India's domestic aerospace industry.
During the show, the team will present its famous 'Dolphin Dive' maneuver. Additionally, a new maneuver—the 'Spot Stall Turn'—will be presented for the first time. Thanks to the team's participation, spectators and aviation enthusiasts from all over the world will be able to see the multifunctionality and maneuverability of the ALH Dhruv, as well as witness the bravery of the Indian Air Force.
The International Air Show in El Alamein gathers professionals from the aerospace, defense, and space industries of leading global air forces. The performance of the Sarang team in the Egyptian sky will add a special dimension to this event and help strengthen ties with other international teams worldwide.
