A temporary bus route named 'Mirzo Ulugbek Metro Station – UzGUMYA' will begin operating in Tashkent on September 7. This transport is intended to ensure convenience for students ahead of the start of the 2026/2027 academic year.
The organization of additional transport is carried out jointly by the capital's city administration, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the Ministry of Transport.
Goals of Introducing the New Route
The introduction of this route aims to reduce the load on the metro passenger flow, as well as to prevent traffic jams on city roads.
Buses will run along the following route: from the 'Mirzo Ulugbek' metro station, then via Takhtagul Street, the Small Ring Road, Lutfi Street, and Kukcha Darvoza Street, to Zakovat Street, where the Uzbek State University of World Languages is located.
The operation of the new route is scheduled for morning peak hours, specifically from 07:00 to 08:00. Four large-capacity buses have been deployed to serve this route.
