Methods for Attracting Wealth During Ajja Ekadashi 2026

In Hinduism, the date of Ekadashi is considered special for worshipping Lord Vishnu. Ekadashi, which falls on the dark side of the Bhadrapada month, is known as Ajja Ekadashi. In 2026, the Ajja Ekadashi fast will be observed on September 7. There is a belief that performing certain rituals while worshipping Lord Vishnu on this day brings happiness and prosperity, and can also help eliminate financial difficulties.

If a person is experiencing financial problems or facing constant obstacles, they can perform the following rites on the day of Ajja Ekadashi:

Firstly, charity is highly valued on Ajja Ekadashi. It is recommended to feed a needy person according to one's means; it is believed that this helps remove negative influences.

It is also considered auspicious to bathe with Panchamrita while worshipping Lord Vishnu. According to religious beliefs, this attracts Vishnu's grace and offers hope for alleviating financial problems such as debts.

If there are concerns about one's financial situation, one should worship Lord Vishnu in the morning during Brahma Muhurta after bathing. A lamp must be lit, and one should sincerely pray and meditate on the god.

Another auspicious act is reciting Vishnu mantras. It is believed that regularly repeating these mantras calms the mind.

If there is tension or problems in family life at home, one can worship Mother Tulsi on this day. Prayers should be offered before the Tulsi plant after lighting a lamp in front of it. In the Tulsi tradition, it is revered as Lord Vishnu's favorite plant.

There is a practice involving the betel leaf: 'Om Vishnave Namah' should be written on a clean betel leaf and offered at the feet of Lord Vishnu. Traditionally, the next day, this leaf is wrapped in yellow cloth and placed in a money chest. It is believed that this promotes an increase in wealth and harvest in the home.

Furthermore, in the evening on Ajja Ekadashi, it is customary to light a ghee lamp under a peepal tree and circumambulate it. According to religious beliefs, this can attract the blessings of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.

Finally, it is believed that reading the Shrimad Bhagavatam or other sacred texts related to Lord Vishnu brings merit. One can read or simply remember the god's name according to their faith and convenience.
