The 'Tashkent International Half Marathon' took place in the capital of Uzbekistan. The races held at distances of 5 and 21.097 kilometers gathered over 24 thousand participants.
Representatives of the country's top leadership attended the official opening ceremony. They emphasized that the annual development of mass sports in Uzbekistan is significant, and such competitions play an important role in promoting a healthy lifestyle among residents.
Race Results
Following the competition on the 5-kilometer distance, Eldor Botirov was recognized as the winner among men, while Ruslan Khadzhiev and Behruz Shavkatov took second and third places, respectively. In the women's race on the same distance, Alina Khakimova won first place; Maftuna Akhmedova took second place, and Kamola Ablayeva finished third.
In the half marathon race of 21.097 kilometers, Andrey Petrov won among men, while Hasan Mirsoatov and Bakhtiyer Utkirov secured silver and bronze medals. Among the female participants in this distance, Marjona Akhmadaliyeva was the best, while Sadafbonu Nusratulloeva and Arofathon Imomalieva took second and third places, respectively.
