Former popular pair in the television industry, Himanshi Khurana and Asim Riaz, attracted public attention for a long time. Years after their breakup, Himanshi leveled serious accusations against Asim. In a podcast, the actress stated that Asim tried to make her change her religion. Asim categorically rejected these claims.

The conflict involving the former couple sparked discussions on social media. Vishal Aditya Singh, who previously participated with them in the show Big Boss 13, shared his opinion. In an interview given for the film Window, Vishal noted that there are indeed complexities in Islam related to coercion into changing religion. He added that he would not believe those who claim otherwise.

Regarding whether Asim spoke to Himanshi about this, Vishal stated that he could not comment on the matter. He suggested that if it were such an important issue, the information should have come out much earlier. He also noted that when Hindus and Muslims are in a relationship, the problems society attributes become obvious.

Vishal emphasized: 'If you needed to bring this issue to the media, you should have done it much earlier. If the relationship was good, don't talk about it. If it was bad, tell everything from the beginning. The world seems to think that half the truth and complete lies are the same lie. I do not want to comment on either.'

Speaking about dates between Hindus and Muslims, Vishal believes that men have more power in such relationships. He added that a Muslim girl would never ask for a change of religion. In that case, it depends on the Hindu guy whether he agrees. According to him, it is often Muslim guys who make such demands. He advised: 'If you are so afraid, talk about it before going down this path.'

Vishal also shared his views on religion, stating that for him, religion is something abstract, merely a matter of human relationships. He recounted a childhood memory: his mother forbade him from eating at friends' houses during Bakrid. He explained to his mother that this was not the case. Vishal reported that if someone asked him to pray Namaz, he would do it because he really likes the sound of the Adhan. He concluded that anything one likes seems good.

Ahead of Independence Day on August 14, the films 'Avarapan 2' and 'Bantwara 1947' were released in cinemas. While 'Avarapan 2' achieved significant success, 'Bantwara 1947' was met with negative reactions from viewers and failed at the box office, collecting less than 50 million rupees.

The failure of 'Bantwara 1947' surprised Shabana Azmi greatly. In a recent interview, she openly discussed the film's flop. She expressed deep regret that the movie failed commercially despite many viewers highly appreciating it.

Shabana Azmi noted that she is often told how much people liked the film and praised its message, emphasizing the importance of conversations about humanity in the current climate. However, she observed that people either did not go to theaters or left the hall confused after watching.

Regarding Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi stated that the public does not accept him in a Muslim role. She cited examples where Amitabh Bachchan easily played Muslim characters in films like 'Deewar', where he showed the number 786, and the public accepted it. She questioned why the situation has changed now and whether such an atmosphere is being intentionally created.

In the same interview, the veteran actress also responded to the criticism directed at Sunny Deol's Pakistani character, as well as remarks from Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari. She expressed incomprehension as to how the public could consider Sunny Deol's character Pakistani if it was not. Bushra Ansari also raised objections to the film's language, noting that the use of the Punjabi dialect by Villemon was incorrect.

Shabana Azmi concluded that if the film is not liked by people from both religions, then there must be something true and beautiful in it. She expressed disappointment that it has become difficult to make films on such sensitive topics as India and Pakistan in the current environment. She stressed that the film is not politically flawed, and it is hard to find faults in it. Despite this, she is surprised by the divergence of audience opinions, as many praise the picture.

The film 'Bantwara 1947' was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Amir Khan. In addition to Sunny and Shabana Azmi, the film also featured actors such as Preeti Jinta, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, and Abhimanyu Singh.

A video recording has emerged that has caused widespread resonance in the political life of the country and the state of Uttar Pradesh: the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh, Satish Mahan, was seen leaving his post midway through the national anthem performance. This situation provoked criticism from SPA chief Akhilesh Yadav, who criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Chief Minister Yogi.

Akhilesh Yadav posted on X, condemning the chairman's action as disrespect to the national anthem, stating: 'Modi-Yogi, tell us what actions are being taken against our legislative assembly chairman?' The video, which showed Mahan interrupting the anthem, was filmed during a Guard of Honour ceremony in Unnao. As of now, no official statement has been issued by the BJP regarding this matter.

The Congress party also joined the criticism of this video. In a post by the Indian National Congress (INC) in Uttar Pradesh, it was noted: 'Those who preach patriotism to others themselves cannot respect the national anthem? Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Chairman Satish Mahan left the national anthem performance midway during a Guard of Honour ceremony in Unnao. Does a person holding a constitutional post not have time to stay for 52 seconds? Look at this... this is the true face of the BJP lobby and patriotism!'

It should be noted that a dispute is currently brewing over the national anthem 'Vande Mataram'. On one hand, the Congress insists on singing two verses of this anthem, while the BJP accuses the Congress of trying to 'fragment' the national anthem, linking this to appeasement politics. The entire conflict began during the flag hoisting ceremony at the Congress office when the entire 'Vande Mataram' anthem was playing, and Congress leaders Malikarjun Kharge and Sonia Gandhi expressed disagreement with continuing the singing after two paragraphs.

The political opposition used Mahan's video incident as an opportunity to criticize the Yogi government and the central government. BJP leaders called this situation an insult to the national anthem. The discussion intensified after the video surfaced showing Kharge and Sonia Gandhi signaling the cessation of the anthem performance. The BJP stated that the Congress hates this anthem and that they always engage in appeasement politics. Currently, the video featuring Satish Mahan has given the opposition a chance to put pressure on the Uttar Pradesh government and the federal government.
