For candidates awaiting employment as teachers or higher educators in Uttar Pradesh, a very important period is approaching. This is because the Uttar Pradesh Commission for Educational Services has decided to conduct a series of major exams before December.
Among the planned exams are Super TET, which are intended for recruitment to positions of directors and assistant professors in government-aided colleges, directors and teachers in affiliated middle schools, as well as for PGT, TGT, Special TET, and assistant teachers in government primary schools.
Although the dates for some exams have been set, the announcement of dates for many others has not yet been made.
A written exam will be held for recruitment to director positions in government-aided colleges. The exam for 111 such positions is scheduled for September 24.
The process of conducting Special TET has begun for already working teachers in government primary and secondary schools. This exam is conducted so that current educators can meet the TET requirement, according to the Supreme Court's directive.
Online application submission for Special TET began on September 5, 2026. Interested teachers can apply until October 4, and the deadline for making corrections to the application is set for October 8. According to the approved schedule, the Special TET exam itself will take place on November 3, 2026, and it will differ from the regular TET.
Preparations are underway for the recruitment of 2,615 teaching positions in affiliated middle schools. Furthermore, changes have been made to the educational requirements: candidates must now have at least 50 percent marks in postgraduate education.
In addition, recruitment is being prepared for 1,936 assistant professor positions.
