Senior political figure and Rajya Sabha MP from Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), Sanjay Raut, has made a sensational claim. He expresses concern that the primary cause of his cancer is related to the time he spent in prison.
Raut stated that Congress politician Rahul Gandhi advised him to undergo toxicological testing due to suspicions of food poisoning. Speaking to journalists, Sanjay Raut sharply criticized the central government and administration.
He asserted that any methods can be employed in prison to suppress the votes of opposition leaders. Raut noted that the current power is so ruthless that it is capable of anything. Sanjay Raut also emphasized that Rahul Gandhi suspected that anything could happen to political figures like them in prison, and that the condition of those politicians who were incarcerated was deteriorating. He added that this illness (cancer) began precisely during his time in prison.
It should be noted that Raut, who spent over 100 days in prison in 2022 on charges of alleged involvement in the Patra Chol redevelopment case in Mumbai, had expressed suspicions about the quality of food and water. He insisted that the cancer started developing in prison.
Raut reported that Rahul Gandhi advised him to conduct a toxicological analysis to determine if there was food poisoning in his meals. He noted that people who oppose the government constantly face such anxiety in prison. Furthermore, he stated that officials can introduce a 'breach' in food and water at any moment, and it was Rahul Gandhi who warned him about this.
