Cyrix Healthcare, a portfolio company of Somerset Indus Capital Partners Fund III, has announced the acquisition of the MedTech Solutions division from Blue Star Engineering & Electronics Ltd (Blue Star E&E).
According to the announcement, this acquisition will take effect on September 1, 2026. Its goal is to strengthen Cyrix's capabilities in medical imaging and expand its 'comprehensive MedTech management' platform across the markets of India, West Asia, and Africa.
Cyrix Healthcare did not disclose the financial details of this deal. The acquisition includes Blue Star E&E's expertise in multi-brand CT and MRI systems, covering the sales, installation, and servicing of over 250 facilities, and integrates it into Cyrix's existing infrastructure.
Furthermore, the deal strengthens AURUM, Cyrix's refurbished medical equipment business, enhancing its ability to work with repaired CT and MRI systems.
The company assured that all current clients of Blue Star E&E's MedTech Solutions will continue to receive support from the previous teams to ensure service continuity. This acquisition is part of a broader strategy to create a comprehensive ecosystem for healthcare providers, enabling the management of medical technologies through a single partner.

Currently, Cyrix Healthcare employs over 1200 biomedical engineers and technical specialists, managing more than 650,000 medical devices in 25,000 healthcare facilities.
