Reliance Jio has completed its ten-year period of operation. Against this backdrop, Chairman Akash Ambani expressed gratitude to the employees for their contribution to the development of the telecommunications company and its digital services.
In an email addressed to Jio employees, Ambani noted that ten years ago the company was founded with a vision set by Chairman Mukesh Ambani—to make digital connectivity accessible and affordable for the people of India. He emphasized that over the past decade, this conviction has transformed India, and he feels deep pride and appreciation for the progress made.
Jio's Growth Over a Decade
Ambani stated that Jio now serves over half a billion customers. He said the company laid the foundation for the concept of Digital India on a large scale and accelerated the country's transition to 5G technology. According to him, Jio built the foundation of Digital India on an unprecedented scale, contributed to accelerating India's shift to 5G, ensured connectivity for homes and businesses, and continues to expand technological capabilities for millions of Indians.
He also expressed appreciation to Jio teams for overcoming complex challenges, developing new products and technologies, and providing customer service. Ambani noted that daily, teams across Jio tackle difficult challenges, question established methods, create new products and technologies, and serve customers with complete dedication. In his view, the approach based on unconventional thinking, rapid movement, and customer focus defined Jio's development from the very beginning.
Ambani's Thanks to Mukesh Ambani and Employees
Akash Ambani thanked his father, Mukesh Ambani, who is the Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), for the vision and leadership that allowed Jio to grow. He also expressed gratitude to the company's leadership team. Ambani described his personal connection with Jio, noting that it was here that he started his professional career and grew alongside the company. He added that during his time at the company, he developed his understanding of team-building processes, working with India, and leadership.
Focus on Technology and Artificial Intelligence
Looking to the future, Ambani stated that Jio's activities extend beyond telecommunications. The company is developing its own technologies in India in the fields of connectivity, digital products, enterprise solutions, and artificial intelligence. Ambani stated that their task is to continue making the benefits of technology widely accessible, bringing these technologies to a global level, and strengthening India's position as a creator of world-class technologies.

Ambani predicts that the next decade will bring new opportunities as artificial intelligence transforms how people and businesses work, create, and solve problems. He stressed that connectivity will continue to evolve, and technology will enable the creation of new applications that are yet to be conceived. Ambani stated that Jio's responsibility is to stay ahead of these changes while maintaining the principles that guided the company: think big, build for India, put the customer first, and make technology accessible to all. He concluded that there are many reasons to be proud, but even more opportunities to build, and thanked everyone for creating Jio's first decade, expressing readiness to build the next one together with the employees.
