Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the updated version of the popular Baleno Facelift, which represents an update to the model's mid-life cycle. This premium hatchback features design changes, along with added safety features and an improved interior.
One of the key changes is the equipping of the car with a new engine. The Maruti Baleno Facelift now features a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder atmospheric engine, previously used in the Swift and Dzire models.
Maruti Suzuki launched the Baleno Facelift with a starting price of ₹6.1 lakh for the Ex-showroom Ex variant. Prices for higher trims have not yet been announced. The car will be available in several new color options and can be purchased at Maruti Suzuki's Nexa dealerships.
The exterior of the new Baleno features an updated grille, as well as new elements including redesigned fog lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome accents, and a new bumper. The car's design has not undergone radical changes, maintaining its recognizable appearance.
The interior has also seen significant improvements. It now includes a premium Clarion-tuned audio system, the SmartPlay Pro Plus infotainment system, Qi wireless charging, semi-leather upholstery, ventilated seats, as well as new black and blue interior silver accents and additional storage on the front armrest.
A notable feature is the integration of Level 2 ADAS, which is currently absent in other hatchbacks. In terms of safety, Maruti has equipped the car with features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist, emergency braking, high beam assist, and others. Furthermore, the car is equipped with six airbags, ABS, EBS, TPMS, and hill hold assist.
