Representatives of the Parliament of Uzbekistan and the Global Compassion Movement held a meeting dedicated to protecting children's rights and expanding humanitarian cooperation.

The Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbaeva, met with Asmita Satyarthi, the Executive Director of the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion. This meeting took place during the sidelines of the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Parliamentary Union in Samarkand, according to the Senate press service.
During the conversation, the parties discussed opportunities for further strengthening humanitarian interaction. Special attention was paid to the prospects of experience exchange, as well as organizing joint seminars, expert councils, and parliamentary discussions aimed at protecting children's rights and providing support to children in need of social protection.
Furthermore, the participants exchanged views on the necessity of strengthening the role of women in society, supporting young female leaders, and developing social leadership.
