The Fergana Region of Uzbekistan plans to expand cooperation with Turkish entrepreneurs in the fields of tourism, traditional crafts, and ceramics following high-level meetings.
Meeting in Tashkent
The Governor of the Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, held a meeting with Husamattin Sabri, head of the Turkish company Kası Cini Seramik, and Yasin Celik, head of Yasin Çelik Collection. The main goal of this meeting was to strengthen commercial ties between the Fergana Region and Turkish business representatives, as well as to assess potential joint projects. Sabri presented a number of proposals for projects that could be implemented in the Fergana Region.
A central topic of discussion was the integration of the heritage of the Rishtan ceramic school with modern production methods and designs used in Turkey. The parties studied the possibility of creating a craft school and a specialized ceramics gallery, as well as encouraging direct partnerships with local artisans and implementing new programs in the regional tourism sector.
Governor Bozorov expressed his support for these initiatives, stating that the region's administration is ready to provide practical assistance in conducting feasibility studies and implementing project plans. After the negotiations concluded, both sides agreed to interact closely with the relevant department heads to consider organizational steps and evaluate implementation details.
As part of its program, the Turkish delegation visited the Rishtan district to familiarize themselves with the work of local ceramic masters, study the traditions of the Rishtan ceramic school, and view handmade products created in the region.
