NMC warns medical colleges about updating faculty registration numbers

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has given medical colleges one month to update the registration numbers of teaching staff in the attendance tracking system. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the daily attendance of the specified personnel being blocked.

The warning was issued by the NMC after discovering empty registration fields. Colleges are obliged to conduct a thorough check and correctly update the profiles of all medical faculty and residents. Furthermore, for non-medical faculty, the registration number field will be marked as 'NA'.

According to the announcement, medical educational institutions have one month to update the National Medical Registry (NMR) or State Medical Registry (SMR) numbers of their teaching staff and certain academic personnel in the Aadhaar-based Biometric Registration System (AEBAS). If this is not done, daily attendance may be blocked and automatically rejected.
