These scores were less than 30 out of 100. The situation did not stop there: two large Chinese characters meaning 'shame' or 'disgrace' were shown on the screen. Subsequently, about twenty middle school teachers were also invited onto the stage. The average score of these teachers' students was below 15 out of 100. For them, similar words denoting shame were displayed on the screen.

People questioned how justified the public humiliation of teachers is when students have low grades. According to reports, Leibao District expressed regret over organizing the event where teachers were brought onto a stage for photographs.
