Egypt is increasing its capacity in solar energy through the use of Chinese technologies. The 'Obelisk' project in southern Egypt generates about 1.1 gigawatts of electricity and is equipped with a large-scale energy storage system to support the national power grid.
This $600 million project also utilizes automated systems and robots powered by solar energy, which contributes to improving the efficiency and maintenance of solar panels. Concurrently, residents in rural areas are implementing smaller solar installations to reduce dependence on unreliable power supply networks.
