Anthropic delays IPO and could be valued at around R$ 10.7 trillion on the stock exchange

Anthropic, one of the prominent artificial intelligence (AI) companies based in the United States, has postponed its plans for an Initial Public Offering (IPO). According to sources informed to Reuters, the launch campaign is expected to begin in mid-October.

The company is expected to be listed on the Stock Exchange shortly before the US midterm elections scheduled for November. Although the timeline is not yet finalized, Anthropic initially planned to release its IPO prospectus in early September; however, the current forecast points to the end of September, reserving the possibility of further changes to the schedule.

Anthropic's potential IPO attracts significant attention due to the expected magnitude of the transaction. The company could reach an approximate valuation of US$ 2 trillion, which is equivalent to about R$ 10.7 trillion. If realized, this would make it one of the largest in history and signal strong investor interest in the AI segment.

AI Market Outlook

Anthropic's eventual capital opening will be closely monitored by investors focused on the growth of the AI market. This operation may occur at a time of intense activity among other companies in the sector. OpenAI, another major AI corporation, is also cited as a candidate to conduct an initial public offering.

Recently, the capital market witnessed another major move involving a technology and AI-related company when SpaceX was listed on the Stock Exchange with an estimated valuation of US$ 1.77 trillion (approximately R$ 9.47 trillion). Anthropic's possible valuation of US$ 2 trillion would place it above this level, making its capital opening an event of extreme relevance in the stock market. Anthropic itself did not provide comments regarding the information related to the IPO schedule.
