Following its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival, Basil da Cunha's film 'O Jacaré' becomes available in Portuguese cinemas.

Basil da Cunha continues to use Ribeira as his preferred setting for his works. This Portuguese-Swiss filmmaker gathered actors of different generations from the local community to highlight the area, which he believes is 'often mentioned for incorrect reasons,' and which, thanks to cinema, has helped restore a 'sense of pride.'
The film 'O Jacaré' concludes a cycle of works that began with several short films and three previous feature films dedicated to this Amadora district.
Special screenings featuring director Basil da Cunha for public interaction are planned: September 4th at the Ideal cinema in Lisbon, September 6th at the Trindade cinema in Porto, and September 9th at the Fernando Lopes cinema in Lisbon.
