According to data published by the Tax Committee, the turnover of taxi services in Uzbekistan for the period from January to August 2026 amounted to 7.2 trillion Uzbek soums. During these eight months, digital taxi aggregators completed 329 million trips, and 242 platform services were integrated into the tax authorities' information systems.
Payment distribution showed that cash payments accounted for 4.5 trillion Uzbek soums, which corresponds to 63.1 percent of the total turnover. Non-cash transactions reached 2.6 trillion Uzbek soums, or 36.9 percent. The average cost of one trip across all modes of transport was 21,785.5 Uzbek soums.
Official statistics indicate that 481,100 self-employed drivers operate through these aggregators, including 4,107 women. An analysis of annual income distribution among self-employed drivers revealed that the largest share of earnings was made by drivers whose income was in the range of 10 to 50 million Uzbek soums (124.4 thousand drivers), as well as those earning between 1 and 5 million Uzbek soums (123.6 thousand drivers).
Furthermore, 133.7 thousand drivers had an income of less than 1 million Uzbek soums, 59.9 thousand earned between 5 and 10 million Uzbek soums, 31.5 thousand received between 50 and 100 million Uzbek soums, and over 7.9 thousand reported incomes exceeding 100 million Uzbek soums.
Domestic models dominate the active fleet: Chevrolet Cobalt accounts for 27 percent, followed by Nexia with 19.3 percent and Lacetti with 16.1 percent. Electric vehicles make up 2.5 percent of the platform fleet. Regarding the age of the vehicles, cars aged three to five years constitute 37.1 percent of the fleet, while cars older than ten years account for 29.2 percent, with 17.3 percent being vehicles aged five to ten years, and 16.3 percent being aged one to three years.
Tax revenues from aggregator companies also increased during the reporting period. Digital taxi platforms paid a total of 149.2 billion Uzbek soums in taxes from January to August 2026, including 46.8 billion Uzbek soums in value-added tax.
