Film 'Toxic' released in English with altered runtime in an attempt to boost box office revenue

Superstar Yash is once again in the spotlight thanks to the film 'Toxic,' which is sparking active discussions among viewers in various languages. The film has now been released in India in English, allowing audiences to see unique portrayals of Yash and Kiara.

The creators have released an English version of the film, which is already available in cinemas. According to CBFC data, the original Kannada version of the film has a runtime of 3 hours and 14 minutes. However, the English version is notable for its runtime: it is approximately 18 minutes shorter, lasting about 2 hours and 56 minutes.

Despite releases in various Indian languages, the film has not yet recouped its costs in Hindi and Kannada. In the first ten days of release in India, the film collected 240.21 crore rupees, with total collections reaching 286.77 crore rupees.

Consequently, the release of 'Toxic' in English is seen as a major effort by the creators to recover investments. The film 'Toxic' was directed by renowned filmmaker Gittu Mohandas, and produced by Venkat Ke. Narayan, Yash, and KVN Production.

The cast includes Yash and Kiara Advani, along with Nayantara, Huma Kurashi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasant, and Akshay Oberoi. According to one report, the film's budget is estimated at approximately 500–1000 crore rupees, making 'Toxic' one of the most expensive films in India.

The film is characterized by a high amount of action, violence, and Yash's imposing style. Viewers noted the strong screenplay and plot. Although some expected higher quality given the star cast, the film received mixed reviews: many highly praised Yash's screen presence, while others questioned the story.

Although the film features a lot of style and glamour, the dialogues did not receive high marks. The film's worldwide box office collection exceeded 300 crore rupees, and attention is now focused on how successful its English version will be.
